<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide printing equipment enabling alleviation of a burden of a user in the case of a paper jam. <P>SOLUTION: The equipment has at least a printing section 4 wherein an ink image is formed on printing paper 20 between a drum 25 and a press roll 27 by conveying the printing paper with pressure, a feeding section 3 which feeds the printing paper to the printing section and a delivery section 5 which delivers the printing paper released from the printing section. On the route of conveyance of the printing paper, a paper sensor S1, a secondary feeding sensor S2 and a delivery sensor S4 which detect whether or not the conveyance is performed normally are provided. When the paper jam is judged to have occurred on the basis of the state of the printing paper detected by each of the sensors S1, S2 and S4, a feeding operation of fresh printing paper by the feeding section and a pressing operation on the drum 25 by the press roll 27 are stopped, while a jamming paper releasing operation wherein a rotating operation of the drum 25 and operations for conveyance of the printing paper 20 by the feeding section 3 and the delivery section 5 are continued only for a prescribed time is conducted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
