PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headphone device which can be made compact conveniently for carrying/keeping and which gives a user a preferable feeling of use when mounted. SOLUTION: The headphone device is provided with at least a pair of headphone units 12, 12 and an elastic band 22 which is mounted with the headphone units 12 on both open terminal sides of the band and defines a curved surrounding area 24 by freely curving a press-contact force applied to left and right ear sides. A multi-spool arm 42 composed of a short arm 43 of which one terminal portion 44 is linked to an open terminal 26 of the elastic band and a long arm 63 of which one terminal portion 64 is linked to the other terminal 51 of the short arm 43 and the other terminal portion 70 is linked to the headphone unit 12, is interposed and disposed between each of the open terminals 26 of the elastic band 22 and the headphone unit 12 and by freely turning the linking parts of the multi-spool arm 42, the side of the headphone unit 12 including the multi-spool arm 42 can be freely housed into the curved surrounding area 24.
