PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption in decoding processing by reducing processing quantity in the decoding processing of a convolutional code signal. SOLUTION: Distortion in a reception signal S107a is compensated, and the reception quality of the reception signal S107a is found out, and when the reception quality of the reception signal S107a is less than a predetermined threshold, a Viterbi decoder 1031 is selected, and when the reception quality is not less than the threshold, a decoding table decoder 1032 whose computational quantity is smaller than that of the Viterbi decoder 1031 is selected. Then, the decoding of the reception signal whose distortion has been already compensated is carried out by using the selected decoder. Thus, processing quantity is more efficiently reduced than at the time of carrying out the decoding processing of a convolutional code signal only by using the Viterbi decoder 1031, and to reduce power consumption in the decoding processing.
