PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus, an information processing method, and an information processing system for setting an optional communication parameter by a tuning function in order to make wireless communication with another apparatus by using a communication parameter suitable for a radio wave environment. SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus or the like utilizes a tuning function of tuning a communication parameter during operation, discriminates whether or not the communication parameter used for wireless communication with the other apparatus is proper, remarkably reduces the number of steps for selecting the optimum communication parameter by using the new communication parameter when not proper so as to enhance the communication performance of a mobile unit and selects the communication parameter while confirming the reliability of each communication parameter.
