PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing polymer powder with which the adhesiveness of the polymer powder effectively utilizable as a dispersing agent, a flocculant, a paper chemical, a concrete admixture, etc., and further as a substrate for a thermal storage medium, a fragrance agent, a deodorant, various kinds of organic waste liquor absorbents, water-soluble coating liquid absorbents, solidifying agents when organic waste liquors leak, solidifying agents for alcohol waste liquors, fertilizer water holding agents for greening, etc., is improved and generation of static electricity thereof is suppressed. SOLUTION: The method for producing the polymer powder containing an alkyl(meth)acrylamide, acryloylmorpholine or vinylpyrrolidone in an amount of≥50 mol% based on constituent units is carried out as follows.
