PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dyeing composition capable of obtaining a more satisfactorily dyed result while accompanying a good stability of the composition. SOLUTION: This dyeing composition is provided by containing at least one specific direct dyestuff expressed by formula (I) or (I') in a cosmetically acceptable medium containing at least water. The composition for dyeing the keratin fiber, especially human keratin fiber, and the method for treating the keratin fiber, especially the human keratin fiber by using the composition and a multiply-partitioned tool for housing the composition are also provided.
