PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic storage shed suitable for controlling flat trays alternately stacked on a column through placing surfaces. SOLUTION: This automatic storage shed comprises at least two walls 20 demarcating internal spaces for disposing a plurality of articles 30 on support bodies. At least one of the walls comprises at least one opening part 21 for making the access of the articles to the internal spaces demarcated by the walls 20. The automatic storage shed comprises a carrying engine 4 at least vertically movable in the internal spaces demarcated by the walls 2 and pre-installed for taking out the articles from the support bodies or returning them to the support bodies. The shed also comprises at least one medium body 2. The carrying engine 4 is movable by a sufficient distance relative to the medium body 2 to carry the articles 30 between the support bodies and the outside of the internal spaces demarcated by the walls 20 through the opening part 21.
