ORGANIC EL DISPLAY AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL display manufactured with a high yield without generating a failure and which uses a plastic film as a substrate. SOLUTION: A protective layer 30, a transparent electrode 28 buried in the layer 30 and an organic insulating layer pattern 26 in which an opening 26x is disposed on the electrode 28 are formed on a plastic film 40 through an adhesive layer 32. Furthermore, an organic EL layer 3 including a red light-emitting layer 36R, a green light-emitting layer 36G and a blue light-emitting layer 36B formed by an ink-jet method is formed on the electrode 28 at the opening 26x of the pattern 26 and a metal electrode 42 and a sealing layer 44 are formed on the EL layer 3.
