PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate operations and normally perform a correct movement instruction to a moving body. SOLUTION: A remote operation terminal emits infrared radiation from an infrared LED through a polarizing plate and ultrasonic waves from an ultrasonic transducer at the same timing as the infrared radiation. The moving body receives infrared radiation from the remote operation terminal at photodetectors 11, 12 through the polarizing plates 13, 14 having different polarizing angles from each other and it also receives ultrasonic waves by an ultrasonic receiver 10. CPU 30 makes a counter 31 to count the time from receiving infrared radiation to receiving ultrasonic waves. The distance to the remote operation terminal from the counted time, and traveling of the moving body is controlled such that the distance is normally identical to the predetermined distance initially set in a memory 32. The peak values of received light output of two photodetectors are detected, the directional angle with the remote control operation terminal is detected from the relation of the peak values, and the moving body is controlled so as to make the directional angle to be an angle, such as 0 degree.
