Method for activation of active or semi-active shock absorber in chassis of vehicle, using various parameters

The method uses the relative speed between a wheel of the vehicle and the body vertically positioned above the wheel and supported by the shock absorber. The relative distance between wheel and body and/or at least the vertical acceleration of one or both of them serves as a parameter. The determination of the relative acceleration is performed by using an appropriate control unit. The relative acceleration between wheel and body can also be determined by measuring, control of condition, or using the difference or the determined relative speed for an activation of an active or semi-active shock absorber.
