<p>A lock nut (1) capable of increasing the tightening force thereof with a tightening nut (7) to prevent the tightening nut (7) tightened to a bolt (6) from being loosened, comprising a nut body (2) having a screw hole (4) formed therein and a groove (30) formed in one seat face (3) at the peripheral edge of the screw hole (4) and a plurality of projections (5) formed on the groove (30) of the nut body (2) and formed of the same material as that of the nut body (2). The projections (5) comprise outer surfaces positioned on the opposite side of the screw hole (4) and facing from a boundary line between the seat face (3) and the groove (30) of the nut body (2) toward the center of the nut body (2) and inner surfaces (32) positioned on the screw hole (4) side and formed to be the extensions of the inner surface of the screw hole (4) in the nut body (2). The depth of the groove (30) is set so that the plurality of projections (5) are not inserted between the seat face (8) of the tightening nut (7) on the nut body (2) side and the seat face (3) of the nut body (2) even if the plurality of projections (5) are collapsed when the lock nut (1) is tightened to the bolt (6).</p> |
