PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording program and a recorder, capable of easily and certainly backing up image data. SOLUTION: This recorder has: a data comparison means 15 comparing data configurations of a first storage means of a backup source and a second storage means of a backup destination periodically or when a recording medium is charged, specifying the image data that is an object of addition recorded in the first storage means and not recorded in the second storage means, and specifying the image data that is an object of deletion recorded in the second storage means and not recorded in the first storage means; and a recording control means 17 making a recording means record the image data that is the object of addition into the second storage means, and making the recording means delete the image data that is the object of deletion from the second storage means as the need arises. Thereby, it is not necessary for a user oneself to investigate the data configurations of their storage means or to specify the image data that is the object of addition or deletion, and the image data can be easily and certainly backed up.
