PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a security system for automatically setting a warning mode without performing a human operation. SOLUTION: The security system 1 operates a crime preventing function such as issuing alarm or reporting to a designated destination when a trespasser to a house 6 is detected in a state where the warning mode is being turned on, and comprises a human sensor 3 for detecting a person in the house 6, which is arranged in the house 6, and a controller 2 for determining presence/absence of the person in the house 6, based on the information from the human sensor 3, and turning on the warning mode when absence is determined.
