PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assure the performance of an inquiry service provided by a database management system even in the case where information life cycle management is applied to management object data of the database management system. SOLUTION: This data arrangement management system 3 making a data arrangement setting to the management object data of the database management system 4 comprises: a data arrangement setting generation means 31 determining available data arrangement candidates, and a data arrangement setting exchange means delivering the data arrangement candidates to the database management system. The database management system 4 includes a means for generating, with respect to each of the data arrangement candidates transmitted thereto, an execution profile of service based on it, and determining whether the profile satisfies a condition for database performance designated by a user or not, thereby narrowing down the candidates only to data arrangement candidates satisfying the condition.
