PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel handling tool which is dividable to an upper part and a lower part without confusion of an operation for dividing and connecting the both with an operation for grasping and releasing an irradiation fuel assembly. SOLUTION: A U-shaped groove 37 is formed in a lower operation rod 311 of a handle 314, and a tip portion of a ball lock T-type pin 315 is inserted to the groove 37. When an index plunger 316 is pulled to this side, the handle 314 can be rotated and pulled up. The pin 315 is then moved along the groove 37 to release the connection of an upper connecting flange 34 to a lower connecting flange 35, whereby an upper member 31 is separated from a lower member 32. At the time of holding the irradiation fuel assembly 2, the pin 315 is pulled out, and the handle 314 is vertically moved, whereby an upper nozzle 24 of the assembly 2 is held by a holding part 36.
