PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic scale hardly generates warpage even it is long enough. SOLUTION: The magnetic scale 3 to be used for a magnetometric sensor such as a magnetic linear encoder comprises: the flexible magnet 60 of a rubber magnet or a plastic magnet etc., formed with magnetic poles periodically in the longitudinal direction; the base plate 31 fixed on the rear surface of the flexible magnet 60; and the protection plate 32 fixed on the surface of the flexible magnet 30. The edge parts 311 and 312 of the base plate 31 are protruding from the outer peripheral surface of the flexible magnet 60. Though the edge parts of the protection plate 32 are also protruding toward outer side of the flexible magnet 30, the edge parts are bent toward the outer surface of the flexible magnet 30 by an approximately angle of 45°. Between the edge of base plate 31 and that of the protection plate 32 the sealant 34 of one component moisture curing adhesive for room temperature use is filled. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
