<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording paper having a high ink absorbency, a high gloss and an excellent film strength and further having an excellent image retention performance, in particular, an excellent performance to gas, and a manufacturing method for the same. <P>SOLUTION: The inkjet recording paper has a porous ink accepting layer including fine inorganic particles and a hydrophilic binder on a support. The hydrophilic binder is a hydrophilic polymer compound crosslinked with a radical reaction employing a polymerization initiator, and the amount of the polymerization initiator included after manufacturing is not more than 30 mg/m<SP>2</SP>.
