PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator of a brushless DC motor in which potential differences between neighboring teeth do not become large. SOLUTION: The stator of a three-phase brushless DC motor has 12 pieces of split cores 12 each having a tooth 16 protruding from the inside circumference side of a split back yoke 14. A strip straight core 10 comprising these split cores 12 connected via connection portions 18 is bent at the connection portions 18 and formed in a ring shape. Three-phase coils 22 are wound on each tooth 16 and the positions of the teeth 16 that are positioned at the outermost side opposite to the neutral point of the Y-connection and on which the coils 22 of each phase are wound are configured not to be adjacent to each other.
