PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of preventing generation of moire in a recorded image. SOLUTION: This apparatus is provided with an image correction processing portion 43 for correcting deviation of a formation position of an image, ROSs 7C, 7M, 7Y, 7K provided with a plurality of write modes capable of changing the numbers of lines of images to be formed on a photreceptor drum 6 simultaneously, and a correction propriety decision unit 42 for adjusting a deviation correction position in a sub-scanning direction of an image correction processing portion 43, according to a write mode. By adjusting correction lines for correcting the deviation of the formation position of the image, according to the numbers of lines written in simultaneously by the ROSs 7C, 7M, 7Y, 7K, concentration variations produced by writing an image on the photoreceptor drum and concentration variations produced by correcting the position deviation are prevented from overlapping each other, and generation of moire can be prevented.
