PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color-sequential display device capable of supporting a low power mode. SOLUTION: When the low power mode is not set (A), a first frame time FT1 is divided to three periods TA1, TA2, and TA3, and red data R1, green data G1, and blue data B1 are display in this order in the first frame time, and blue data B2, green data G2, and red data R2 are driven in a second frame time FT2 in this order different from that in the first frame time. When the low power mode is set (B), image data in RGB areas is converted to YUV data, and Y components are used as luminance data, and luminance data is written to all pixels in a write period Y1W of the first frame time FT1, and back light sources are turned on in a turn-on period TL.
