PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foreign language study apparatus capable of giving subjects to students in systematic considerations between similar words of printing, between words having similar semantic concepts, and between pairs of phonetically similar words. SOLUTION: A foreign language study apparatus 1000 includes a thesaurus dictionary database 3242, a dictionary database 3244, and a phonetic interference database 3246. An interference word candidate extraction part 3203 extracts a list of interference word candidates including semantic interference words, phonetic interference words, and printing interference words, for a designated word for study in association with interference degree information of individual interference word candidates on the basis of a semantic interference degree rule, a phonetic interference degree rule, and a printing interference degree rule. A question creation part 3204 estimates integrated difficulty levels from the list of interference word candidates on the basis of interference degree information and creates a question sequence.
