PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation measuring system which can perform monitoring with a proper cycle even when measured values greatly fluctuate and can reduce battery drain. SOLUTION: The radiation measuring system comprises a battery-operated radiation measuring instrument 100 for measuring a radiation dose and a radiation management apparatus 101 for managing the measured value of the measured radiation dose. The system is provided with a processor 6 (or a processor 21) which transmits instructions to a power ON/OFF discriminating control apparatus 9 so that the cycle of a power ON instruction of the radiation measuring instrument 100 is lengthened when the measured value of the radiation dose measured by the radiation measuring instrument 100 is within a predetermined range and that the cycle of the power ON instruction of the radiation measuring instrument 100 is shortened when the measured value exceeds the predetermined range.
