PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eddy current flaw detection method which enables the certain detection of a work having a flaw (damage) to enhance its inspection yield. SOLUTION: An inspection target is subjected to demagnetization treatment (demagnetization unit 12) prior to (eddy current flaw detection unit 13) for detecting the magnitude of the eddy current in the inspection target using an eddy current flaw detection probe and/or a change therein to inspect the presence of the flaw in the inspection target.
