PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a robot device capable of taking proper action in accordance with status and its action controlling method. SOLUTION: An acting subject is recognized by a human recognizer 44 by using sensors of a CCD camera 41 and a microphone 42, the status is recognized by a status recognizer 43 and an action acquired by an action acquiring device 45 through mimicking is memorized in a memory device 46 by associating it with the acting subject and the status.
