PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood purifying apparatus which measures the pressure in a circuit by measuring directly the strain of tubes of a blood circuit and a dialysate circuit by a strain sensor without providing a pressure measuring section in the circuit. SOLUTION: This blood purifying apparatus comprises a blood purifier 1 and the blood circuits 2 (21 and 22), a blood pump 3, a priming liquid supply line 4, a vein side air trap chamber 24, an opening and closing valve V1, a dialysate circuit 5 (51 and 52), a dialysate pump 6 and a filtration pump 7 as shown in the figure. The strain sensors S1 and S2 are provided respectively in the artery side blood circuit 21 downstream from the blood pump 3 and the vein side blood circuit 22 upstream from the opening and closing valve V1. The pressures in the circuits can be measured by measuring the strains of the tubes of the circuits by the strain sensors S1 and S2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
