A radiation image storage panel is composed of a phosphor layer consisting essentially of phosphor in the form of columnar crystals and a protective layer provided on the phosphor layer via an adhesive layer, in which the adhesive layer has a thickness of 0.3 mum or more and intrudes into the phosphor layer in a depth of 2.0 mum or less.
