A collapsible light (10) has a flexible reflector (40) or light modifying panel assembly (40, 35, 50, 52, 60, 45) forming a curved, e.g. parabola, or bent, e.g. angular, shape when in a use position. The fight modifying panel assembly can be folded or flattened. A further transparent or translucent panel (30) may be provided across the front of the light modifying panel assembly.
