Cyclone process and assembly to remove dust particles from e.g. air to vehicle combustion air or dust-sensitive assembly

In a cyclone filter process to remove dust particles from a gas, the gas enters a cylindrical housing and is immediately subject to rotary motion. The centrifugal forces cause the particles to separate from the gas flow. The increase in inlet gas pressure is equal to the drop in gas outlet pressure. The rotational energy imparted at the inlet is subsequently negated by the internal flow resistance. During its passage long the cylinder walls the air is subjected to supplementary cooling. Incoming air impinges on a variable-speed fan regulated by a temperature sensor.
