<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which uses an economical image formation unit of simple constitution, the unit being used until it reaches the lifetime while waste toner is collected in an old cartridge and the apparatus is replenished with toner from a new toner cartridge. <P>SOLUTION: A waste toner conveyance path 56 comprises a conveyance pipe and a conveyance screw which is arranged in the conveyance pipe and rotates, and is arranged along the bottom of a cleaner 8 as shown by an arrow (c), arranged vertically at one side part of a housing main body 41 as shown by an arrow (d), arranged to be inverted to the left in a left length direction along an inner side of a handle 46 as shown by an arrow (d), and arranged around in an engagement part 54 of the housing main body 41 as shown by arrows (f) and (g), the end extending up to a waste toner discharge opening 55.
