<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image supply device that, according to the printing requirements set by a user and the printable range of a printer, processes image data to be transmitted to the printer and transmits the data to the printer, and also to provide a method for controlling it, and a printing system. <P>SOLUTION: A UI (User Interface) is constructed according to function information from the printer, and is displayed in a DSC (Digital Still Camera). According to the print specifications set on the basis of the UI and to printable range information, the image data of an image file to be printed is converted (S75).
