<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent thermal recording material suitable for medical purposes by enhancing the stability of coloring density after printing. <P>SOLUTION: The thermal recording material is produced by providing a thermal recording layer made primarily of a colorless or light-colored leuco dye, a developer for causing the leuco dye to develop color by heating and a binder resin as a binder on a transparent support. A compound expressed by general formula (1) is employed as the developer, and a specific urea compound such as N-phenyl-N'-octadecyl urea and N, N''-1,3-phenylene-bis(methylene)bis(N'-octadecyl urea) is employed; and in the general formula (1), R<SP>1</SP>expresses a 6-9C straight chain alkyl group. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
