PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a management method and a management device of digital information for saving labor for allowing a user oneself to input index information. SOLUTION: A retrieval information database 160 stores feature points in which peculiar features are converted into numbers for each digital information related to retrieval information. A digital information management device 100 converts information that is inputted from an information inputting means 110 and becomes the base of digital information such as an image and a voice to digital information by a digital information converting means 120. Then, a feature point extraction evaluation means 130 calculates the feature point of the converted digital information, evaluates similarity between the feature point stored in the retrieval information database 160 and the calculated feature point, and extracts retrieval information having a feature point of high similarity.
