PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a vehicle suppressing shifting shock when an accelerator is closed during engagement of a clutch in a power-on shift up. SOLUTION: When the accelerator is returned during engagement of the clutch in up-shift under a power-on condition, hydraulic pressure of the clutch is reduced with corresponding to accelerator operation quantity and reduction of engine output corresponding to accelerator operation is suppressed until predetermined time passes from a time of return of the accelerator to delay time for making engine output to a value determined based on accelerator opening. The higher viscosity of working fluid is, the longer the suppression time is established. Consequently, since reduction speed of engine torque is delayed with corresponding to reduction speed of working fluid pressure which is slow at high viscosity, shifting shock due to reduction delay of working fluid can be prevented.
