PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing material which has excellent flexibility and can exhibit a high water-stopping property without deforming a member to be sealed. SOLUTION: This sealing material comprising a multi-layered structure having an open cell layer comprising an ethylene-propylene-diene copolymer rubber and having an open cell rate of≤25% and two closed cell layers nipping the open cell layer comprising the ethylene-propylene-diene copolymer rubber and having a closed cell rate of≥70% is characterized in that the surface roughness Ra measured by a method defined in JIS B 0601 on the surface of at least one of the two closed cell layers is≤15μm.
