PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine an ink usage method such that complementarity of an inner section of a hue face is optimized by an adjustment ink usage amount setting axis for one or more adjustment ink usage amount setting axes by determining the ink usage method so as to minimize a color tone, a gradation property and a granularity of a gray axis itself by setting one or more adjustment ink usage amount setting axes except the gray axis. SOLUTION: In this method of forming the ink usage method, the ink usage method in a hue face triangle formed by three sides is formed on the basis of an ink usage method of three sides including an ink usage method for forming a gray side from a white to a black, an ink usage method for forming a white-color side from a white to a color and an ink usage method for forming a color-black side from a color to a black. The hue face triangles are formed respectively corresponding to the plurality of hues. The plurality of hue face triangles are coupled centering around the gray side to form the ink usage methods of all colors and one or more adjustment ink usage amount setting axes are provided in the hue face triangle except the three sides.
