<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game system which can directly reflect the action of a player on a game wherein a large number of input operations can be recognized based on the action of the player. <P>SOLUTION: When a sign is inputted by the player (step 200), whether or not the sign is a predetermined sign is discriminated (step 202). In the case of the predetermined sign, after an OK performance effect (sound effect or the like) is generated (step 210), whether or not a sign flag is already ON is judged (step 210). In the case that the sign flag is ON, it is judged that a compound sign is inputted by continuous sign input (step 212).
