HERMETIC ELECTRIC COMPRESSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetic electric compressor in which there are no abnormal wear and noises of a gear pump due to the whirling at the end of a crank shaft. SOLUTION: A pair of gears 52 are only mounted in a pump case 51, and other structural components of the gear pump are arranged in opposition to the pair of gears across a cover plate 53. Thus, a distance between a sub bearing portion of the electric driven compressor and the pair of gears 52 is set to be shorter than that in the construction of a prior art gear pump, reducing the whirling at the front end of the crank shaft 2.
