PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately write a pattern, in which phases are matched with each other, onto a recording disk in a servo pattern writing process. SOLUTION: A Time Aligned Pattern, in which timing is temporally matched, is written onto a magnetic disk 13 over the tracks utilizing the time interval between a Base Pattern and a Base Pattern. The Time Aligned Pattern is a Pattern having a Ts time interval in which timing is temporally matched over sixteen Servo Tracks, for example. A next Product Servo Pattern is written using the Time Aligned Pattern. The Time Aligned Pattern is written a prescribed writing time after the Base Pattern of each track is detected.
