PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disinfecting composition enabling high bactericidal effects to be exerted even in the case of skin conditions differing in the secretion levels or ratios for sweat and sebum, and to provide such a disinfecting composition free of sags or the like in use, getting nongreasy both in use and after use, free of feeling of being left after use, and affording dry feeling in use. SOLUTION: The disinfecting composition comprises triclosan and isopropyl methylphenol. This composition may also contain a thickening agent and a lower alcohol, wherein the thickening agent is preferably an acrylic acid-methacrylic acid alkyl ester copolymer.
