<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary type cutting mat having simple structure which can be inexpensively manufactured, and does not distort a cutting line thanks to the flatness of the top surface of the mat. <P>SOLUTION: The rotary type cutting mat is composed of a relatively rotatable base plate 20 and a rotary mat 30. The rotary mat 30 is rotatably mounted on the base plate 20 in a state where a shaft member 31 projecting from the back surface is inserted into an opening 21 of the base plate 20. The base plate 20 and the rotary mat 30 are not connected with a connecting member such as a rivet, but the rotary mat 30 is just rotatably mounted on the base plate 20. Therefore, the rotary type cutting mat does not require a complicated manufacturing process where the rivet head is embedded in the laminated structure by making the rotary mat into the laminated structure in order to prevent the rivet head from being exposed from the mat surface.
