PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which scanning line curve/tilt correction mechanisms of an optical scanning part are independently operated and the mechanisms are arranged in an optical housing with a simple structure and whose cost is reduced. SOLUTION: The mechanism for adjusting the scanning line tilt is at least the one which affects little the adjustment of scanning line curve, and optical elements (long lenses 5a through 5d) are directly arranged in the optical housing, the optical scanning part is provided in which four optical paths are arranged for optically scanning four photoreceptors 9a through 9d and forming latent images, and the scanning line curvature/tilt correction mechanisms are provided on the face opposite to the optical housing arrangement face 13b of the optical elements (long lenses 5a through 5d).
