PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recorder which can record images of a high image quality by preventing generation of streaks because of banding in the inkjet recorder and an inkjet recording method wherein images of a head width are formed by one scanning by a long head where a plurality of recording units equipped with a plurality of ejectors are arranged in a width direction of a recording medium, and to provide an inkjet recording method. SOLUTION: A region to reduce an ink fixing amount is limited to an end of a band which is to be recorded precedently in terms of time. A "threshold" in the case of reducing the ink fixing amount is set for each joint of the recording units, and optimum density correction is carried out.
