PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna system suitable for a mobile terminal capable of maintaining a broad band resonance frequency usable in a multi-band system and executing diversity reception. SOLUTION: An L-shaped and inverted L-shaped linear and plate antenna is configured by arranging antenna elements 2b divided by a reactance element 2c on a ground plate 2a acting like ground. Thus, a multi-frequency antenna resonated at two frequency bands or over is realized. Further, a third resonance frequency is selected by using switching circuits 3, 4 arranged to ends of the antenna elements 2b to control the impedance. Moreover, feeding part switching circuits 5a, 5b are used to switch feeding parts 6a, 6b thereby switching the resonance frequency to fourth and fifth resonance frequencies. Consequently, the switching circuits 3, 4 are used to control the impedance thereby switching the resonance frequency to a sixth resonance frequency. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
