PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna having a small planar structure easily mountable to a small radio device and capable of forming a main beam having a vertical polarization in a high elevation angle direction and a low elevation angle direction. SOLUTION: Slot elements 13A, 13B each having a length of 1/2 wavelength are disposed with a predetermined interval d1 on the surface of a substrate 11, and a reflection plate 14 is disposed with a predetermined interval h from the surface where the slot elements 13A, 13B are mounted. Parasitic elements 15A-15D are formed of a copper foil pattern on the rear surface of the substrate 11, and are disposed so that they cross the slot elements 13A, 13B at right angles. A switching element 16A is connected to the parasitic elements 15A, 15B, and a switching element 16B is connected to the parasitic elements 15C, 15D, respectively. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
