PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk reproducing device capable of hearing an audio signal automatically at volume desired by a user from the start of reproduction even when the volume of the audio signal reproduced after the reproduction starts is small and of preventing a loudspeaker from being damaged in an optical disk reproducing device for reproducing audio data recorded in an optical disk. SOLUTION: The reproducing device comprises: a reproduction indicator; a reproduction part; a reproduction starting position storage part; a rotary encoder for outputting a pulse signal by rotation of a dial; an audio signal amplifying part for amplifying the audio signal on the basis of the pulse signal outputted by the rotary encoder; and a control unit for controlling the reproduction part so that reproduction of the audio signal is re-started at a position stored in the reproduction starting position storage part when an amplification degree increases within a predetermined first period of time, a predetermined second period of time has passed since the amplification degree stops changing, and the amplification degree has increased greater or equal to the value specified in advance.
