PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of managing progress while enabling remote proof. SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus 1 accepts information for specifying at least one destination and the setting of a time limit for a reply from a destination, records the information of the time limit for the reply, accepts image data to be processed, transmits mail data including image data to the designated destination, receives a reply to the transmitted mail data, records the presence of the reply for each destination, refers to the information of the time limit for the reply and the information of the presence of the reply recorded for each destination, and transmits the mail data concerning a time limit notice to the destination which has not sent a reply even after the time limit.
