PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary high post bed type sewing machine which enables the replacement of the post part alone. SOLUTION: The conventional post is divided into the posts A and B and the post B is separable to be replaced with the one different in shape. A mechanism of the post A is provided on the lower shaft at the lower part of the bottom plate and the lower shaft which originally rotates horizontally shifts to the vertical rotation in conversion with a gear. Moreover, the horizontal rotation mechanism within the post A is converted to the horizontal rotation mechanism. The post B is a unit with a rotary part and allows the separation and the replacement thereof. Thus, the combination of the reference shaft and a recessed tank and an eccentric shaft and a fork plate facilitates the replacement of the post B with the post different in shape.
