<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the possibility of wrinkles in a recording material having an image formed thereon, earlier and more securely. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 100 forms regular invisible images onto paper by using an invisible toner. After a fixing process, the invisible images on the paper are read by a sensor 45, and a decision is made whether the regularity has been disturbed. When the regularity is decided as having been disturbed, information associated with the occurrence of wrinkles in the paper is outputted. Accordingly, before the occurrence of wrinkles that may seriously affect the image quality, the apparatus 100 can inform the user of the information associated with the occurrence of wrinkles. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
