RADIO DETERMINATION FOR DIRECTION OF ENDOSCOPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method to measure a distal end to solve problems that an endoscope may be deformed, and it may result in difficulty for an operator to decide the actual direction of the distal end of the endoscope and disability to associate a targeted position shown in an image of the endoscope with the actual targeted position in the body of a patient.

SOLUTION: A device carrying out a medical treatment comprises an invasive probe having a distal end on the opposite side and a proximal end. The probe comprises a transmitter which is arranged so as to send an energy plane and a receiver which is arranged so as to receive the energy plane. The transmitter and the receiver are positioned on the both ends of the probe. A control unit can determine the direction of the distal end against the proximal end according to the energy plane received by the receiver.
