PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for filling a functional liquid drop ejection head with liquid and an ejection device suitable for executing this method capable of efficiently removing bubbles from an inner channel of the head, a method for producing a liquid crystal displaying device, a method for producing an organic EL device, a method for producing an electron emission device, a method for producing a PDP (plasma display panel) device, a method for producing an electrophosis displaying device, a method for producing a color filter, a method for producing an organic EL electroluminescence, a method for forming a spacer, a method for forming a metallic wiring, a method for forming a lens, a method for forming a resist, and a method for forming a light diffuser. SOLUTION: A branch passage 158b for liquid supply being connected individually with each liquid drop ejection head 7 is provided with an on/off valve 166, and a branch passage 216b for suction being connected individually with each cap 212 is provided with a liquid sensor 217.
